THE PROBLEM

Child Marriage and Child Trafficking are two major concerns in India, where around 1.5 million girls below 18 are married off every year, and the nation ranks 5th among 84 countries in terms of human trafficking cases. This leads to sexual and economic exploitation of the girl child where she leads a life filled with abuse, her potential never being realised.

OUR ACTION

Our project focuses on combating violence against girls and young women, specifically under child trafficking and child marriage in the vulnerable states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through advocacy and lobbying.

We work in six districts across states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where prevalence of child marriage and child trafficking is high.

In Andhra Pradesh, we work in Anantapur, YSR(Kadapa) and Prakasam districts

In Telangana, we work in Warangal, Khammam and Nagarkurnool districts
