TOGETHER WE STRIVE

An IIT Kanpur Alumni Initiative for COVID Rural Aid

WHAT IS THE INITIATIVE?

Children of India Foundation will support the IIT Kanpur Alumni Initiative of ‘Rural Aid to COVID affected areas in India’ whose immediate action is to address regional shortages of COVID medicines, medical equipment and food rations.

Emergency needs in each district are identified and a required supply of ration, PPE Kits, gloves, soaps, sanitisers and necessary equipment are sent across.

This is further distributed by Primary Health Care staff to the community and other relief workers. The initiative also supports in the facilitation of ‘COVID primary treatment and consultation centres ‘in remote rural areas where Primary Health Care Centres are inaccessible.

Who we Are

We are a group of young professionals committed to plug the gaps in supply of medicines and medical equipment in rural communities – reducing the turnaround time to 4 days.
Thanks to the alumni network of our esteemed educational institutions – IIT Kanpur, Harvard, Stanford, NUS, and London School of Business – in roughly no time we were able to create a network of 100+ Civil Servants, 10 NGOs, 1,000+ healthcare professionals. This network helps us in sourcing demand and also helps us in last mile delivery.
