Children of India Foundation (CIF) is a registered Non-Profit Organization based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was founded in the year 2002 and engages in activities related to child protection, health, livelihood and education.
The Initiatives for Married Adolescent Girls’ Empowerment (IMAGE) works on the socio-economic development of early married girls, organising them into a movement for change.
Children empowerment for Getting Out of the Devadasi System (GOOD) focuses on addressing the social and sexual exploitation faced by young girls in lower caste Devadasi communities.
The Mica project addresses child labour in the Mica mines of Jharkhand through child participation, provision of quality education services and economic empowerment of parents.
The IMAGE programme has helped a lot of young adolescent girls in our village. They are now more aware of good health and nutrition practices.
