OUR ACTIVITIES

 

 

DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD AND HYGIENE KITS

Considering the loss of livelihood, and the lack of availability of food, families were provided with dry ration kits. They were also given access to hygiene kits consisting of face masks, soaps and sanitisers to ensure protection from the virus.

CHILDREN AS CORONA WARRIORS

Children were sensitised on the virus and were encouraged to spread the word. They came out with interesting posters, slogans an drawings spreading awareness on coronavirus. Many children took the responsibility of ensuring social distancing in their villages.

 

 

AWARENESS MATERIALS

Families were provided with BCC and IEC materials consisting of credible information on coronavirus for their safety and protection.

STAFF TRAINING

Project staff were trained on how to spread awareness, ensure safety and provide relief during the pandemic.

 

 

RAPID ASSESSMENT

CIF conducted a rapid assessment in all its operational areas to identify the important needs of the people so as to plan effective response.

CONTINUATION OF EDUCATION

Children were provided access to online education and linked to various government applications. They were also provided with electronic gadgets to ensure effective learning at home.

 

 

INCOME GENERATION

Families who lost their livelihood were provided additional means to earn a living during the pandemic, taking them out of abject poverty.
