As part of our Mica project, we conducted various training programmes to develop and strengthen our project team, inclusive of partner NGOs,  and other stakeholders. These training programmes were conducted by staff members and external experts towards the personal development of the team.

  • Effective delivery of the project:  A 3  day refresher training for 14 staff members on the project components, implementation procedures, quality assurance of project deliverables and interlinkages among the thematics of the project.
  • Strengthening IGA linked to Revolving Funds: A 1 day training was conducted for NGO partners, community organisations and families supported with Income Generation Activities (IGA) on their roles and responsibilities to ensure effective functioning of  IGA linked to the Revolving Fund. It is to be noted that a Revolving Fund in tune of INR 82 lakh has been already constituted in this regard for sustained income.
  • Strengthening efforts on home based ECE (Early Childhood Education: A  3 day training for 28 members (project staff-12,anganwadi workers-10 and Nutrition workers-06) to augment the overall efforts of home based ECE,institutional services on ECE and promotion of appropriate nutrition practices. In addition, a one day hands-on training for 35 mothers and 12 staff members was also conducted to consolidate efforts on quality home based ECE for the young children.

“Through the training programme, I learned how to teach sports activities to children and how to make educational material out of household  materials. I understood the importance of creating an appropriate joyful learning environment for children.  The training has helped me develop in my thinking and I have learned new things!”  – Trainee Sushma Devi, an Anganwadi assistant teacher.
