Ensuring Food Security to struggling families

Mr. Marrepalli Raju a daily wage worker from a village in Warangal district, Telangana lost both his parents to COVID-19

“I took a loan of  around Rs.14,00,000 for my parent’s treatment but I couldn’t save their lives. In order to pay back the loan, I’m in struggling to make ends meet and provide food for my children”, says a distressed Mr.Raju.

Mr. Raju’s family is one among the most vulnerable families to receive a dry ration kit from Children of India Foundation with support from Give India, a donation platform in India. With each kit containing rice, dal, oil, sugar, salt and milk, the family’s food security is ensured during these crisis times.

“Hunger is the biggest evil that multiplies the risk of vulnerable families drowning them into a more critical state. Receiving the food kit is helping us come out of our distress in the best way possible”, he says.
